No one should be surprised by anything Bobby Kennedy is saying or doing when it comes to measles and the MMR vaccine.

Why not?

He literally wrote a book telling us what he believed and what he was going to do!

Well, he wrote the forward, but he did have someone at his Children’s Health Defense organization, which he started and was leading at the time, write it.

And he had it published.

So it is basically a Bobby Kennedy Measles book, which is quite scary when you realize it is filled with misinformation and propaganda about measles and the MMR vaccine!

What kind of misinformation and propaganda?

It’s much like the misinformation and propaganda that you see in his article promoting the book, where he says that measles is rarely life-threatening and that measles vaccines are largely unnecessary.

Even the preface to the book is filled with misinformation that is very easily verified, such as:

• “Since the improvements in hygiene and sanitation a century ago, contagious diseases have steadily dropped without vaccines.” – improvements in hygiene, sanitation, nutrition, and medical treatments did improve mortality rates for most things, but only at the very beginning of the 20th century. By the 1940s and 50s, those gains had plateaued and thousands of people were still dying every year in the United States from measles, pertussis, Hib, polio, pneumococcal disease, and other now vaccine preventable diseases. At least they were until a vaccine was developed to keep them from getting sick!
• “There are treatments available for every contagious disease.” – Many contagious diseases do not have treatments or a cure, especially many viral diseases.
• “There are literally hundreds of thousands of deaths and injuries related to vaccines.” – there may be reports in VAERS, but confirmed reports of vaccine deaths or severe injuries are extremely rare.
• Vaccines contain dangerous ingredients. – they do not. Vaccine ingredients are safe and vaccines do not even contain most of the so-called hidden ingredients that anti-vaccine influencers claim to be added to vaccines.
• Big Pharma are not altruistic business, so they want to kill you with their vaccines. – few businesses are truly altruistic, but just because they want to make money doesn’t mean that they want to kill you. In fact, most don’t want to kill you for the simple reason that you can be a returning customer! And if we are talking about making money, think twice about the motives of Kennedy and other anti-vaccine influencers.

Then we come to Bobby Kennedy’s forward to the book…

Kennedy proved that was a lie, didn’t he?

If the Texas measles outbreak was fabricated for government officials to do something, then why isn’t he doing something now that he is the Secretary of HHS!

Of course, the benefits of the measles vaccine have not been exaggerated, it has saved millions of lives, and the risks have not been understated, it is a very safe vaccine with few risks.

Secrets About Measles and the MMR Vaccine

Not surprisingly, they spend the rest of the book trying to convince you of those two things, which, as you likely know, is anti-vaccine propaganda 101.

They list so-called “secrets” you have never been told!

“Secrets” that are really just anti-vaccine talking points that have been refuted a thousand times already!!!

Consider “secret” number 3:

“Measles Is Not as Lethal as We Are Told”

They start off by explaining how few measles deaths there have been in recent years in the United States, somehow missing the connection with most folks being vaccinated and protected. They then try to claim that we shouldn’t care about measles deaths anyway, because of deaths from medical errors, for which they use a very inflated count. And lastly, they hide the fact that 400 to 500 people used to die every year just before the measles vaccine was introduced.

Other secrets are about vaccine patents and royalties, the myth of vaccines being unavoidably unsafe, potential side effects [adverse reactions] listed in the package insert, that herd immunity is an illusion, misinformation about vaccine-induced measles, and the myth that the MMR vaccine is made from the tissue from aborted human fetuses.

Oh, and they push hard trying to make you believe that there is a connection between the MMR vaccine and autism.

Looking to justify your reason for not vaccinating your kids and leaving them at risk to get measles and other life-threatening, vaccine-preventable diseases? Then this could be your book!

Others will skip it and look for other ways to get educated about vaccines, ignore these types of anti-vaccine influencers, and will vaccinate and protect their families.
