How Many People Die in the USA Every Year from Being Vaccinated?

We know that vaccines work to save lives from vaccine-preventable disease.

If you are at all hesitant about vaccines and are doing your research, you have likely come across the myth that vaccines are more dangerous than the diseases they protect us against though.

This is only because most people don’t remember the pre-vaccine era when measles, polio, small pox, and diphtheria, etc., were big killers. So even though vaccine side effects are about the same as they always have been, they can become a much bigger focus for some people because they don’t see any of the mortality or morbidity from the diseases that the vaccines have gotten so good at preventing.

It is at this crossover point that anti-vaccine folks are able to get away with pushing myths, such as like more people die from the MMR vaccine than from measles.

They don’t.

How Many People Die in the USA Every Year from Being Vaccinated?

Although vaccines are not perfectly safe, it is extremely rare for a vaccine reaction to be deadly.

“As for vaccines causing death, again so few deaths can plausibly be attributed to vaccines that it is hard to assess the risk statistically.”

WHO on Six common misconceptions about immunization

So why do anti-vaccine folks think that they are more common than they really are?

That’s an easy question to answer.

“Differentiation between coincidence and causality is of utmost importance in this respect. This is not always easy, especially when an event is rare and background rates are not available.”

Heininger on A risk-benefit analysis of vaccination

They often believe than anything and everything that happens after someone is vaccinated, even if it is weeks or months later, must have been caused by the vaccine. This discounts that fact that most people have a basic risk, often called the background rate, for developing these conditions that can coincide with getting vaccinated. It also explains why they believe in so many so-called vaccine induced diseases.

Another reason is that they also misuse VAERS reports when talking about vaccine deaths.

“In a review of reports of death following vaccination submitted to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) from the early 1990s, the Institute of Medicine concluded that most were coincidental, not causally associated.”

Moro et al on Deaths Reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, United States, 1997–2013

Not surprisingly though, studies have shown that most of the deaths in VAERS are not actually related to vaccines.

In fact, most of the things that anti-vaccine folks blame on vaccines, including things you see in many of their vaccine-injury stories, are not related to vaccines.

How Many People Die in the USA Every Year from Vaccine-Preventable Diseases?

Fortunately, most people are vaccinated, and deaths from  vaccine preventable diseases are tremendously below what they were in the pre-vaccine era.

Most people will be surprised to know that they aren’t zero though.

People do still get vaccine-preventable diseases in the United States.

And tragically, people do still die of vaccine-preventable diseases in the United States.

For example, in 2015:

  • there were at least 37 cases of perinatal hepatitis B infections
  • five infants and children less than age 5 years died of rotavirus disease
  • a 14-month-old died of Hib meningitis
  • an infant died of pneumococcal meningitis
  • a 3-year-old with congenital rubella syndrome died
  • at least two teens died of meningococcal meningitis
  • a woman in Washington died of measles – the immunosuppressed women was exposed to an outbreak in Clallam County that mostly included intentionally unvaccinated kids
  • 85 kids died of the flu

Of course, worldwide, especially in developing countries, the number of deaths are much higher, which is a good reminder of what would happen if more of us stopped vaccinating!

And it is an even better reminder that you have to look at the number of deaths from vaccine-preventable diseases today in the context that most people are vaccinated and protected.

If you are truly looking at a risk vs benefit analysis of whether or not to get vaccinated, it is still the great benefit of avoiding vaccine preventable diseases vs the very small risks of getting vaccinated that you should think about.

“I also warn them not to share their fears with their neighbors, because if too many people avoid the MMR, we’ll likely see the diseases increase significantly.”

Dr. Bob Sears in The Vaccine Book

It is also the small risks of getting vaccinated vs the much greater risk of going back to the pre-vaccine era if you decided to skip or delay any vaccines.

It is not that you have been scared into thinking that the risks of  vaccines outweigh their benefits.

“Millions of vaccinations are given to children and adults in the United States each year. Serious adverse reactions are rare. However, because of the high volume of use, coincidental adverse events including deaths, that are temporally associated with vaccination, do occur. When death occurs shortly following vaccination, loved ones and others might naturally question whether it was related to vaccination. A large body of evidence supports the safety of vaccines, and multiple studies and scientific reviews have found no association between vaccination and deaths except in rare cases.”

Miller et al on Deaths following vaccination: What does the evidence show?

It is not that the risk of getting a vaccine preventable disease is low because you might be able to get away with hiding in the herd.

It is not that the risk of getting a vaccine preventable disease is low because you are counting on everyone else in the world to get vaccinated and eliminate or eradicate the disease and your risk.

If too many parents who are on the fence start believing that their kids have zero risk of getting polio and other vaccine-preventable diseases and continue to skip or delay vaccines, then boom, we are back to the days when outbreaks would close schools and kids would suffer from the devastating effects of these diseases.

Even the schools were closed in San Antonio when polio came to Texas in 1946.
Even the schools were closed in San Antonio when polio came to Texas in 1946.

While anti-vaccine folks won’t have such an easy time convincing people that these diseases are mild anymore, none of us want to wait for more outbreaks to occur before folks get the message that vaccines are safe and necessary.

What to Know About Vaccine Deaths

Despite what anti-vaccine folks would have you believe as they try to scare you away from vaccinating and protecting your kids, vaccines are safe and necessary and vaccine deaths are very rare.

  1. Comparing POSSIBLE vaccination deaths with pre vaccination mortality rates shows that at a LOWER BOUND you are 21,500 times better off getting vaccinated.

    1. Having studied the more recent Moro (et al) report that identified 162 incidents (among the 2,149 reported) for which no cause of death could reliably be determined – if ALL were due to vaccines – that would make vaccinating over 300,000 times safer than not vaccinating.

      1. Googled vaccination death totals in this year all this pro info on getting vaccines but did not tally up all deaths cause by vaccines in this long report obvious agenda here just give us facts and stats up front and center dont give us all this extra non sense God bless u guys

      2. You’re an idiot if you get your fact from vaxopedia . Have fun injecting money cells and aborted baby cells into your children.

    2. I have read this whole article that’s supposed to answer the question “How many people die in the USA every year from being vaccinated?” and there is no answer. Although they can tell you how many have died in 2015 from a Hep(b). What about life altering side effects atleast. I.e. autism, SIDS. Factor that into your risk assessment.

      1. I noticed this too and it being the 1st search result to this question is without gratitude, Google.

    3. This site is the biggest loud of Lies and BS I’ve read. The epidemic where cause by poor diets and Sanitation. Wow and the history of Small pox started the anti vac movement in the UK because the vaccine was cause more deaths than the disease. Protester stop Mandatory vaccines in the UK over that one vaccine. Polio has caused many problems like at SV40 cancer linked to Polio and then there is the Link to AIDs. Salk’s vaccines was stop after only two years due many children catching polio and deaths. Polio has not gone it has just go more names as diagnosis become better understood. DDT linked to Polio with the same symptoms as polio and it was in heavy use at the same time as Epidemic. MMR is linked to Autism and 38% of measles cases are caused by measles study carried in USA. DTP was ban in develop world because of deaths and brain damages etc., but they still sold it on the kill and lame other babies in Africa, India etc., Sad that a Company can do this to babies. New DTAP is ineffective due to not using whole cell pertussis. So now they going to add another to the list of already 72 total over vaccinated children. USA has the highest death for under 1 years and the highest amount of vaccines for that period. Over 4 Billion dollars paid out so far for injuries. It is sicken to think that people say that is ok for a baby to die or be injuries via a vaccines. Do you ready think your baby should be offered as the sacrificially lamb! But most people are just sheep and don’t ask any question about medical intervention.

  2. Great job not answering the question. People want a number, even if it is a ballpark figure. Not providing one makes things look a lot more sketchy and is only fuel for anti-vaxers.

      1. They didn’t avoid the question….we can’t rely perfectly on the data…but they did say if we assumed every single death was vaccine related…still 21,500 times safer! If you want to put in perspective…your children are more likely to be struck by lightening and killed than to die from a Vaccination gone wrong.

    1. I just wanted to know how many people have died. I dont want the fluff. You couldnt answe the question. Welp its Feb 2019 and 6 people have died this year alone from the flu shot.

      1. Easier to copy and paste this from my other comment:

If you had bothered to look at the sources used, you would have found this explaini ng why no hard number can really be given:

“Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTP) vaccine and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
One myth that won’t seem to go away is that DTP vaccine causes sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). This belief came about because a moderate proportion of children who die of SIDS have recently been vaccinated with DTP; on the surface, this seems to point toward a causal connection. This logic is faulty however; you might as well say that eating bread causes car crashes, since most drivers who crash their cars could probably be shown to have eaten bread within the past 24 hours.

If you consider that most SIDS deaths occur during the age range when three shots of DTP are given, you would expect DTP shots to precede a fair number of SIDS deaths simply by chance. In fact, when a number of well-controlled studies were conducted during the 1980s, the investigators found, nearly unanimously, that the number of SIDS deaths temporally associated with DTP vaccination was within the range expected to occur by chance. In other words, the SIDS deaths would have occurred even if no vaccinations had been given.

In fact, in several of the studies, children who had recently received a DTP shot were less likely to get SIDS. The Institute of Medicine reported that “all controlled studies that have compared immunized versus non-immunized children have found either no association . . . or a decreased risk . . . of SIDS among immunized children” and concluded that “the evidence does not indicate a causal relation between [DTP] vaccine and SIDS.”

Looking at risk alone is not enough however – you must always look at both risks and benefits. Even one serious adverse effect in a million doses of vaccine cannot be justified if there is no benefit from the vaccination. If there were no vaccines, there would be many more cases of disease, and along with them, more serious side effects and more deaths. For example, according to an analysis of the benefit and risk of DTP immunization, if there was no immunization program in the United States, pertussis cases could increase 71-fold and deaths due to pertussis could increase four-fold. Comparing the risk from disease with the risk from the vaccines can give us an idea of the benefits we get from vaccinating our children.

The fact is that a child is far more likely to be seriously injured by one of these diseases than by any vaccine. While any serious injury or death caused by vaccines is too many, it is also clear that the benefits of vaccination greatly outweigh the slight risk, and that many, many more injuries and deaths would occur without vaccinations. In fact, to have a medical intervention as effective as vaccination in preventing disease and not use it would be unconscionable.”

But you and your internet friends decided to be as ignorant as any anti-vaxxer by not simply reading the details. Spoon feeding the broad strokes was never my forte.

  3. Анастасия Басюк

I’m pro-vaccine, but it strikes me that I can’t get the exact number of adults and children from vaccines and the percentage of causal mortality. I understand that the deaths are “so few”, but not giving the exact number and highlighting each case with plausible explanations, drives mad people who only believe the scientific data.
not giving this information is super suspicious (especially to brainwashed parents)…. and not very good for those who support vaccination.

    1. The WHO says: “As for vaccines causing death, again so few deaths can plausibly be attributed to vaccines that it is hard to assess the risk statistically.”
I think if they gave a hard number, the anti-vaxxers would jump on it and say “See, I told you vaccines are dangerous!”
I say: “Compared to the billions of vaccinations every year, serious complications are so low as to approach zero.”

      1. So, here is my issue. You can definitely attribute a specific number to a disease, measles let’s say, and say that it was definitely measle that killed this person… however, we don’t know if they had any other diseases or ailments that made them more susceptible or to their death specifically. But we are not willing to attribute the same logic to vaccines?

I don’t care whether your pro-vac, anti-vac or somewhere imbtween. I just want numbers. Which no one is willing to study.

    2. My daughter was vaccinated at age one. She had a really bad reaction. It was scarey. There is a definite conflict of interest here. There is too much money to be made. I think if someone gets violently ill with symptoms that are a common reaction to vaccines, you can safely conclude it was the vaccine. I mean what a coincidence. Scientists play games insisting on unnecessarily larger sample sizes for there to be scientific proof. I’ll opt for common sense proof.

      1. I agree. I almost died twice when I was little. Doctor said don’t have any more.

    3. If you had bothered to look at the sources used, you would have found this explaini ng why no hard number can really be given:

    1. I agree. I think that one of the problems is that for many years nobody was required to report to any agency when someone died from a vaccination and/or they may have not known that the death was caused by a vaccination, especially in the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s. There were a lot of prescription drugs over the years that have caused death too, but nobody reported or kept track of these records/stats and/or didn’t know that caused the death for many years. So their knowledge/stats on this wouldn’t be accurate. That may be why no accurate numbers are known. I also would have like them to keep track of how many people who were vaccinated actually got the diseases anyways. I know that I, my brother, cousins, classmates, and neighbors were all vaccinated and we all got all the usual “childhood diseases” anyways. Nobody was concerned as it was considered normal. But, since nobody’s required to report this or keep any records, their is no knowledge, records or stats.

  4. I’m an older person who has had all the childhood diseases. There was never any fear or panic and I don’t remember those diseases being that bad. Just a fever for a day or two and a rashy skin, and a very competent and attentive family doctor . So I don’t have the horror of these diseases that younger people might have from what they read. I’ve also had and survived shingles as an adult. It wasn’t nice, but my immune system coped on its own. My daughter works for the NHS UK, and recently she knew of a case of three people in the same family who all received their flu jab at the same time and all three had aneurisms shortly afterwards. This is not fake news; it actually happened. Now you tell me that wasn’t connected directly with the flu jab. I believe people should be asked to make informed choices but of course anyone whose own livelihood depends on promoting vaccines will go all out to convince people it’s the way to go. I agree that vaccines for deadly diseases like smallpox are good, and polio vaccines were a life saver in the 50s, but don’t push vaccines for everything. Our immune systems are the natural route to healing and shouldn’t be compromised by toxins. Thank you for listening.

    1. Three people died from the same thing after all of them received the same vaccination? Oh that doesn’t mean anything. That’s just three people. It could have been anything. It could have been that new virus that causes aneurysms. But don’t worry, they’ll come up with a vaccine for that too.

    2. I agree. All the people that I know that got a flu shot when they came out with them got the flu. Most of them said never again. I’ve never gotten a flu shot or a vaccination after I was 3 years old when I almost died twice. I’m in my sixties and still here. I let my own immune system do it’s thing.

  5. Please don’t get carried away with small sample sizes, because the world wide evidence is much different from what you are reporting. I am old enough to remember hospitals full of Polio victims, many of whom died or were damaged for life. Before vaccines, about one in 1,000 measles patients died, and deaths from Smallpox, Diptheria, and others were worse. About 1 in 5 children didn’t reach their first year at one time, my dad’s sister among them. Vaccines are an important part of a public health system that prevents that from happening today.

    1. Unless you’re one of the people who dies from the vaccination. Then it gets real personal. I almost died twice. No more vaccs for me. And don’t even get me started on autism. We didn’t have autism till vaccinations came out. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

      1. It’s called herd immunity. You are someone susceptible, but that’s why as many as possible need vaccinations.

Sorry that happened to you but thinking that means anything negative about vaccines would make you an idiot. And you aren’t an idiot, right? So don’t make idiot correlations.

      2. “We didn’t have autism till vaccinations came out. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm”. Please stop spreading lies. Just because the term “autism” wasn’t used prior to the 20th century doesn’t mean it didn’t exist! There are many references to cases in olden times that may have been autism. Even the Bible has verses that may refer to cases of autism. The first vaccine was performed 223 years ago, btw. Stop the fear-mongering.

  6. This is medicine, a type of science. and science is backed up with facts, not maybes and possibilities. There is a number to call for Adverse side affects for Vaccinations. They will pay doctors, nurses and parents to keep Deaths caused by Vaccinations quite.

      1. No, science which we can verify using data. What a stupid fucking person who says these stupid fucking things, Christ Almighty. Thank goodness you idiotic simpletons are in the minority, it’s bad enough you dumb dipshit fuckheads brought measles back.

Yes, YOU and people like you brought back a disease we had wiped out. You are responsible for any people maimed or killed by these easily treatable diseases. No one thinks vaccinatiiins are perfect or devoid of risk but they are FAR better than the alternative. Fucking morons.

    1. Oh and speaking of science and medicine. Let’s look at the whole premise behind pharmaceutical medicine: Only man made, artificial substances, not found in nature can cure disease. In other words, the premise is that the body evolved for thousands of years and was designed so that one day, man in his infinite wisdom would be the one to eventually discover and develop substances that are totally alien to the human body that can cure diseases better than anything found in nature. Oh, and these substances just happen to be very profitable for the people who test their efficacy since they can be patented. Of course, profit doesn’t figure into it. It just happens not to be their business model to research, develop, or promote anything that’s natural. It’s well established that every single nutrient has a corresponding deficiency ailment. This bias in favor of man-made substances is highly suspicious in that very little attention or credit is given to natural approaches to health This is irrefutable on a purely logical basis. To hell with the tyrany of the corporately funded scientific community.

      1. Yes, Big Pharma and all their $ is what is believed, not nature and common sense. The have the AMA and medical community wrapped around their little finger and everybody follows and believes the white coats blindly.

      2. This diatribe is sok poorly thought out it would be laughable if no one actuslly thought it.

First off, pharmaceutical medicine is derived from natural sources. We found some things have beneficial properties so we take those things, separate the helpful from the neutral and harmful, focus it into a form easy to take. How the fuck do you think penicillin works you simple shit? What do you think vaccines ARE?

And no, no one thinks we were designed so one day we could do these things, you fucking moron. No one, not me, not one god damned doctor or lab worker unlesd they, too, are as stupid as you. Human beings evolved into our current forms by natueal selection and adaptation.

        So did viruses.

All we did was discover a way to utilize nature to prevent the huge epidemics from killing huge swaths of iur population and you’re pretending that’s a BAD THING.

Christ, you reap the benefits of vaccines and medical technology every. Single. Day. No one thinks any of this shit is perfect, we just recognize that it is CLEARLY superior to children getting encephalitis or dying from measles. THAT is called irrefutable logic, because i actually have data to back me up. All you have is anecdotes and your feelings, like every idiot from Trump to Jenny McCarthy.

      3. Big Pharma Watch

“pharmaceutical medicine is derived from natural sources” LOL! That statement coming from someone who calls others morons for being stupid. You either have very, very poor grasp of chemistry, or you’re lying intentionally, or you’re the real moron. Pharmaceutical medicine derived from natural sources. Hahaha. Patented medicine derived from natural sources. Haaaaahah. What a retard. Too many vaccinations fried your brain, probably.

    2. This is driving me crazy! We can’t say for sure someone died from the vaccine but we can say for sure that not being vaccinated and dying (say from flu) was 100% because you are not vaccinated? It’s like talking from both sides of your mouth. I am not pro or anti vax. I am pro health. I want what is best for my children. I find other flaws with vaccines – first, my son got pertussis and was vaccinated. Don’t think that vaccine is working well. Second, childhood illnesses are on the rise. Allergies are out of control. Why? Let’s do some honest studies on non-vaccinated children (not partially, fully non-vaccinated) without conflicts of interest. No pharma funding the study. Do these children have the same rates of allergy, asthma, autism, etc? Thirdly, my son at age 12 had what I would consider an injury to the meningitis vaccine. The day AFTER his lymph nodes swelled up, he started twitching, yellowish skin, feeling spacey, trouble swallowing food and feeling like he could not breathe. I took him back to doctor that day and they firmly told me it was not a vaccine reaction he must have something else going on. They would not acknowledge any connection. It was an eye opener to experience this. This is what parents are up against. It may be that something was going on with his immune system at the time, but the vaccine definitely pulled the trigger. So instead of saying vaccines are safer than the disease, lets come up with ways to identify why some do react badly and find ways to protect them.

      1. We protect them through herd immunity. It’s easy to find out with a small amount of research.

      2. Herd immunity is a theory. Majority of adults are not up to date according to the CDCs schedule so herd immunity will never truly be a thing until that happens.

      3. I appreciate this well thought out response. I am in agreement and happen to be a nurse. I have seen a handful of vaccine related reactions or injuries. A couple of people that would have died had they not been rushed for emergency care. With that said, I have my child vaccinated. I get vaccinations. There are some I don’t care for. I do not think there should be so many. Flu yes. Pneumonia yes. Polio yes. I feel the truth lies somewhere in the middle, but we may never know. My issue with this article is that there are very clear numbers of disease related deaths, but on “a few” related to vaccines. If you are going to publish numbers for one, publish all the numbers. In healthcare, we are required to report both.

  7. You’re so vague trying to sell your agenda. You talk about so few deaths due to vacs but what about all the potential horrors which happen to children who have so many shoved into their young bodies at a time. What about all the undeniable crippling autism and other things happening to children who were perfectly healthy until just a few hours of getting vaccinated? There are many, many stories of such happening to children and your kind just turn your heads and won’t even have a true debate with those who disagree. That says you are the losers. But, doctors don’t even vaccinate their own families because they’ve seen the risks! You don’t want to talk about that or the thousands of autistic children who didn’t need to be that way, but just because of cramming so many vacs in a little body, you essentially killed them! A death is kind compared to living for decades with crippling diseases caused by vacs. You cannot truly show statistics for vacs being totally safe!

    1. Vaccines dont. cause. autism! It’s amazing how 1 fraudulent study that was proven wrong, and the “doctor” that wrote it admitted as much, can still be used as an argument by antivaxxers. It clearly proves that you do not do any research.

  8. A Vaccine Sales Pitch??? are you actually serious? To what end? You think the CDC and all these scientists are in cahoots with big Pharma? Come on people…a little common sense… The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don’t alter their views to fit the facts. They alter the facts to fit their views.
Which can be uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

  9. Just do the math Linda you are blind if you cant see the numbers.
Numbers tell everything it is as easy as that look to numbers people that havent been vacinated die more often then people who actually did get vacinated its as easy as that.
Yes maybe you are taking a risk to ruin your kid or even kill him but just fu**** do the math people not giving your child a vacine puts them in bigger risk then ever.
Jesus make these people understand the math….

  10. TAKE YOUR DAMN VACCINE GOYIM! AHAHAHAHA, ENJOY YOUR RETARDED MALE BABIES, AND CLASSROOMS FILLED WITH AUTSTIC RETARDS! HAHAHAHAHAH!

    1. “TAKE YOUR DAMN VACCINE GOYIM! AHAHAHAHA, ENJOY YOUR RETARDED MALE BABIES, AND CLASSROOMS FILLED WITH AUTSTIC RETARDS! HAHAHAHAHAH!”

Wow! Capital letters. Impressive. Only a truly trustworthy person knows where the capslocks key is, and isn’t afraid to use it. Your mom and dad must be so proud (assuming that they admit that they know you).

  11. Big Pharma Watch

Hello Big Pharma. Well done pushing your article to the top of Google results for “how many people die from vaccinations”. And thanks for all the great science here.

    Rich, corporate, morally bankrupt scumbags.

  12. My son is 15, almost 16 years old and he got vaccinated for Hepatitis A, and a few short weeks after the inoculation, he started banging his head on the wall, Cussing at me, masturbating in public, and his grades were starting to slip. I took him to the doctor, and he said he was fine, but I don’t believe in doctors anymore, and I believe in natural medicine, so everyday I grab flowers mixed with dirt and my dogs urine and shove it in his face, and it has been preventing infections every since I first starred doing that. It has also prevented his autistic outbursts that I mentioned earlier in this thread. So, in conclusion vaccines are very harmful to your child and evil no matter what age they are at. So please, resort to natural medicine and don’t go to these demons because my good Christian child was ruined by clinical medicine and doctors.

  13. Yes, my sister died recently from penicillin, just 2 short hours after she received it and cause of death is unknown. My friend’s baby received vaccinations and a few days later her baby ended up in the hospital with meningitis, almost died, continued to receive vaccinations the next few years, but still contracted chicken pos shortly after, so it didn’t even work. My other friend’s baby healthy baby died the same day after receiving vacc, couldn’t breath, poor baby, “death unknown” .Ofcourse they won’t document that, you can take it to court and get nothing. So the actual real count of deaths, illnesses contracted shortly after vacc is not available, so just a coincidence my ass. Most babies are just lucky, but so many, that you don’t know of are not so lucky. It’s great that a prevention or cure is found for all these illnesses, but just like aids, cancer or whatever, it should be the choice of the parent or individual whether they want to receive treatment or get something into their body or not. If they make a bad choice, then society has to live with it, no one should be forced to receive something into their body, whether it will save humanity or not, a decision should be allowed. It is a risk, some babies don’t have it that lucky. One death alone was enough for me thank you very much, I don’t care if it saves lives 10 times better, this one death was enough for me to think twice before I make a decision like that, so if nothing ever happened to you or you never lost a child shortly after your child got vacced then shut up en leave this chat site, you clearly don’t know the pain, your brain clearly won’t be able to understand the pain. If you want to save humanity over your children, go ahead, let it be your choice, will see how you cry when you lose your child and no one will listen to you, nor care of that happens, I said if, Godwilling that will never happen to you, but don’t speak unless you lost someone..

  14. 4 billion dollars to 6400 seriously injured in thirty years. This is on average,
    * $630,000 per injury – I doubt they pay that for a red welt on a sore shoulder. We’re talking serious, long-term injuries.
    * 213 kids seriously injured by a vaccine every year. Since approximately 17 million kids per year are vaccinated, this is about
    * 1.3 kids injured for 100,000 kids vaccinated. This the current death rate of measles worldwide. If measles deaths are bad, aren’t vaccine injuries?
But, the VAERS passive surveillance system drastically under counts the number of vaccine injuries by probably 10X. So, the real injury rate is 13/100000 or
    * 2130 kids injured per year.
This dramatically swamps the number of measles cases in the US per year and the other vaccination preventable diseases per year. The CDC’s vaccination program is NOT RISKLESS!!! Vaxopedia is more mis-information.

  15. Measles is bad. Not bad in the sense of a horrible disease that will kill the average Joe bad (at least in first world nations with excellent healthcare like ours), but bad in the sense that it is the one vaccine that creates intense public anger and hatred for and against vaccination policies. We live in the “fake news” era where we see a bigger divide in opinions than I’ve ever seen growing up as a child. Don’t ever discuss politics or religion at the table, now add vaccinations.

I can only say that I personally have learned a lot through my own independent research by looking at both sides (as well as joining the ranks of healthcare workers) and I have many thoughts on this matter (obviously as I post often) and in a way, posting is my own personal catharsis when I get frustrated at seeing endless measles news stories shown on television day after day and hearing many disparaging words said from both sides towards the other.

I don’t want to downplay the threat that measles is to an immunocompromised individual nor the elderly nor the young child. Although there have been no recorded measles deaths for quite some time in America, it is something that is always just around the corner.

Which brings up the issue of risk. For those that weigh risks, they do the research. Research finds that vaccines have caused immense harm both by admission of the CDC’s risk analysis reported online, through their passive reporting system VAERS online, and through countless testimonies firsthand of parents that have seen their child’s vaccine reaction permanently change their child (lose speaking / walking capabilities temporarily or permanently), yet be discounted by all healthcare workers that immediately deny any vaccine harm or correlation). Research finds that the CDC’s own research into vaccines is flawed. It’s epidemiological research which does not compare healthy unvaccinated children to vaccinated children, nor does it compare historically using a cross section of children available for study. Research finds that vaccines aren’t classified as “drugs” and therefore don’t have the same high level of scrutiny that other products must receive. Research finds there has been whistleblowers within the CDC that have come out and reported that the CDC has lied about its safety numbers with vaccines. Research finds that the culpability of vaccine manufacturers since 1986 is low thanks to the vaccine court. Research finds that this court has had to pay out many billions of dollars in restitution to those harmed by safe and effective vaccines. Research also finds that all allergies are on the rise as are autoimmune disorders and that nobody knows why and the best guess they have is that we’re too clean. Too clean. (Hygiene theory). Research finds that the mainstream media underreports or doesn’t report anything in connection with any adverse reactions to vaccines (yet actually misreports at times kids getting measles that had an MMR reaction to the very vaccination that was protecting them from measles).

So yeah, back to measles. Measles is the one illness that will drive America to the great divide. It’s the ethics debate. The greater good. Do we ignore the destruction of those that are harmed along the way to achieving full immunity? Could Pharma/CDC create a safer product that had less side effects (would it ever even ADMIT that there are serious side effects?). Can the CDC/Pharma entanglement/cooperation which is worth billions of dollars serve the public health without serving its own $$$ interests? Will public officials continue to legislate forced vaccinations for school attendance and thus leverage the fear that measles brings to bring about total health compliance with flawed vaccines?
And yes, all drugs are flawed. All drugs create side effects. Vaccines are not safe and neither is measles. It’s just that measles doesn’t scare me personally as much as the lies that I can see coming from the media/pharma/cdc. The Brady Bunch made fun of the measles joking how it was a good way to get out of school for a few days. Continuous media onslaught has created hatred if one does not comply with vaccinations now. Does that make me a bad person? Many would say so that I’m endangering their child. To them I would say, by not questioning authority (and doing your own research beyond CNN news) you are putting my child in danger. Across the United States, votes are being taken in to remove all exemptions from vaccinations. California is currently working hard to remove medical exemptions from doctors own hands (after previously removing philosophical and religious exemptions before). The government will be in charge of your body soon, which if that doesn’t scare you might if you dig a little into how many more vaccinations are being researched currently to add to our “program”. The media continuously has shaped public opinion calling those that have not had their vaccinations “skeptics, deniers, antivaxxers, misled, purveyors of misinformation”. You can believe that if you wish. I will tell you that each day I live in America, I’m greatly saddened at how we are not able to see news that is critical or at least honest as to the safety of our vaccine program. It’s simply too big to fail, and because that is the stance that is being taken, many more people will continue to be harmed by the vaccines because there is very real documented evidence that harm is being done and will continue to be done until vaccine manufacturers are forced to be audited by a safety commission of some sort that is outside the financial influence of the manufacturers, and the CDC is unfit to do this. If you listened to my tangent, thank you. You and I may not agree, but I respect anyone that has done research and doesn’t demonize my thoughts based on what they watched on nightly news. I doubly respect you if you “dared” to have listened to the harbingers of misinformation, those horrible antivaxxers.

  16. Vaccines have been deemed “inherently unsafe” by the Supreme Court in the U.S. so your entire thesis here is completely flawed and pure propaganda. Profit motivated studies paid for by the same corrupt drug companies like Merck that knowingly killed 500,000 people with Vioxx! Look at any vaccine manufacturer and you will find they have been convicted of criminal behavior in the name of profits. Oh and you failed to mention that no vaccine has EVER been adequately studied for safety against a real placebo. Vaccines frequently cause injury and death and is that is well documented. $4 BILLION dollars had been paid out to those families since the reporting system started. It is estimated that less than 10% are even reported. This article is just more drug company propaganda!

  17. Most of your logic depends on saying “coincidence does not equal causality.” Just because someone died the day after their DPT shot does not mean the shot caused it. Other things cause death. That’s your argument in a nutshell.

Well, sorry to break it to you, but that’s fallacious. When there is a symptom, you must identify a cause. Eating bread does not cause car crashes, but, hello! Nobody thinks so. But when a kid develops a rash and fever after a shot, and goes to bed screaming, and never wakes up, you have to put shots on the list of suspects.

That is one thing you are determined not to do. You are not investigating, you are defending. That makes your argument mendacious as well.

Let’s turn this post hoc idea around. Shots appeared. Diseases disappeared. Therefore vaccines work, right? Well, you haven’t mentioned the statistic that diseases in general declined by about 90% the decade before the shot was introduced. Some declined, and there was no shot. Granted, the principle of vaccination works, after a fashion. But it’s not magic. It’s not the shining dream of a Big Rock Candy Mountain we have blown it up into. Just in passing, that brings pre-vaccination mortality down to the same order of magnitude as post-vax, or at least it would if we were keeping score.

I would appreciate it if my fellow “scientific” people would be truly scientific. Even in the courts, where one person is the accused and another is the judge, we are fair and impartial, and listen to both sides of the story. Now that I mention that, it strikes me as very ironic that in this case, it is vaccines that are the accused, and it is doctors that have set themselves up as the judge. Conflict of interest, not much.

This dynamic has taken on disturbing proportions. When a legislature does not listen to reason, and passes vaccine legislation that just might violate all ten of our civil rights, and when a court says that the Amish can’t be conscientious objectors in their own schools, that’s not science. That’s messed up. It’s Nazi logic. “The good of the many outweighs the good of the one,” and, “I find no fault with this man.” And all of that without good evidence, as we have said. Just because Monroe is dead doesn’t make it not tyranny.

The thing that is frustrating about your fallacious use of “post hoc ergo propter hoc” is that in medical science, coincidence is not proof. But it is evidence. You cannot say, “Just because it happened after means that it wasn’t the cause.” Just because one thing is wrong doesn’t mean the opposite is right. That’s called “affirming the disjunct.” You should know that. The fact that you go on means you don’t care.

That’s what this is really all about. Why don’t people care? For uncounted children each year, a vaccine is a lethal injection, or worse. Why aren’t we finding out why?

    1. Antivax=Child Death

“Well, sorry to break it to you, but that’s fallacious. When there is a symptom, you must identify a cause. Eating bread does not cause car crashes, but, hello! Nobody thinks so.”

Wait until a crooked doctor takes a payoff from some lawyers to fake data that bread does cause car accidents, and you’ll start to see people coming out of the woodwork with sob stories about the menace of bread.

We already see child-abusing monsters pretend that the broken bones they caused in their children are “vaccine injuries”

  18. your statement on causality can just as easily be used on your graph to destroy it on a scientific basis. the difference is we know the causality when linked to vaccines just read the inserts, brain swelling.. that can lead to … uhh autism right?
    hmm so causality?

aborted himan cells.. ARE carcinogenic.. right?
when the state of california warns me about every product i order being carcinogenic they are awfully quite about murcury and aluminium that 6x exceeds fda safty regs… makes you suspicious.

vaccines can be safe, but they are not instead they are profitable.
