The Two Measles Deaths in Pennsylvania Were Not 80-Year-Old Men
In this case, our usual suspect is Ginger Taylor, who reposted a fake image created by a anonymous, and likely fake medical doctor.
How do we know it’s fake?
Well, for one thing, the Pennsylvania Department of Health has not released any details about the two people who died, except to say that they were unvaccinated, they had measles, and they died.
“The Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) today confirmed two measles-associated deaths in Pennsylvania. Both individuals were unvaccinated…
DOH confirmed both individuals were unvaccinated residents of Lancaster County. To protect the privacy of the individuals and their families, DOH will not release any additional details that could personally identify these individuals and their families.”

What else?
There is no post on the WBTV News website identifying the two deaths as 80-year-old men! Instead, there is an article saying that the Pennsylvania DOH ‘did not say whether the deaths involved children or adults.”
And lastly, there have been no measles cases in Pennsylvania in anyone over 65 years old.
But then why are so many anti-vaccine influencers pushing the idea that the two deaths were in elderly men?
It’s because they don’t want anyone to think that the deaths could have been in children!
After all, measles deaths in unvaccinated children might just make some parents think that they should vaccinate and protect their kids, right?
Or maybe, they don’t want to think that the deaths could have been in children, because then they will be reminded that their anti-vaccine propaganda might have convinced a parent to skip vaccinating their child – leading to their death!
Whatever the reason, it is a great reminder of that anti-vaccine influencers very often don’t do any research before blindly laundering misinformation across their social media accounts and websites.
It is a great reminder for why folks should stop listening to them!
