Have you seen those mortality charts that anti-vaccine influencers use to try and prove that vaccines for conditions like polio don’t really work?

Do you understand why they are pure propaganda?

Charts That Prove the Vaccines Work

With most of these charts, they go back to the early 20th century, when deaths were inflated by poor hygiene, sanitation, and nutrition.

You can’t hide that there were over 1000 deaths a year from pertussis when the DPT vaccine began to be used more often.

And then they hide the fact that hundreds of people were still dying when vaccines were introduced by using mortality rates.

Why?

On a chart for pertussis deaths, for instance, one death per 100,000 people doesn’t look very impressive unless you realize that we are talking about a population of 150 million people. So that “one death” actually translates to nearly 1,500 deaths! Deaths that were not stopped until we had more widespread use of the DPT vaccine.

So why didn’t they do the same thing with the polio chart?

Mortality charts can help show that polio vaccines work.
If you look at the full century, you can see why they cropped their polio chart at 1950. It is pure propaganda an to try and fool you into thinking that polio vaccines don’t work.

Maybe because polio, which is a disease of development, didn’t follow the same patterns as pertussis, measles, and diphtheria, etc.

We didn’t see any decrease in deaths from better hygiene, nutrition, and sanitation.

Instead, we had to wait for vaccines to see any effect on polio deaths and for polio get under control. And hopefully soon be finally eradicated!
