Why do some people think that that dozens of disastrous vaccine hot lots have been released over the years?

The usual suspects…
Forgotten Propaganda about Vaccine Hot Lots
It seems that these anti-vaccine influencers have forgotten all of the other times this type of propaganda has been used in the past to scare people.
Far from being “buried,” NBC once did an episode on DPT hot lots, What You Should Know Before Your Children Get Their Shots, NBC Now Show with Tom Brokaw and Katie Couric.

And all of the times it has been debunked, because it simply isn’t true.
There are no hot lots of vaccines.
Where did ‘they’ get this idea of hot lots?
They got the idea from looking at VAERS reports and matching vaccine lot numbers with those reports, ignoring the very simple fact the vaccines are produced in very variable lot sizes.
“One of the main limitations of VAERS data is that it cannot determine if the vaccine caused the reported adverse event. This limitation has caused confusion in the publicly available data from VAERS WONDER, specifically regarding the number of reported deaths. There have been instances where people have misinterpreted reports of deaths following vaccination as deaths caused by the vaccines; that is not accurate. VAERS accepts all reports of adverse health events following vaccinations without judging whether the vaccine caused the adverse health event. Some reports to VAERS represent true vaccine reactions and others are coincidental adverse health events and not related to vaccination. Overall, a causal relationship cannot be established using information from VAERS report alone.”
VAERS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Of course, the other problem with that approach is that just because a report is in VAERS, it doesn’t mean that the vaccine is to blame for whatever is in the report.
“VAERS accepts reports of adverse events following vaccination without judging the cause or seriousness of the event. VAERS is not designed to determine if a vaccine caused an adverse event, but it is good at detecting unusual or unexpected patterns of reporting that might indicate possible safety problems that need a closer look.”
VAERS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
So as we have been saying for nearly 30 years, VAERS will not help you to find hot lots of vaccines!
Again, even discounting the fact that you don’t know from looking at VAERS if the adverse event in the report was really caused by the vaccine or if it was a coincidence, there is the issue of vaccine lot sizes.
Small lots of vaccines, maybe with 3,000 doses, will simply have fewer reports than larger lots, with 30,000 or more doses!
COVID Vaccine Hot Lots
Pierre Kory has been going so far as pushing the idea of COVID vaccine hot lots, but it still isn’t true.
“The misuse of VAERS data has been particularly evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. Anti-vaccination activists have leveraged this data to make exaggerated and misleading claims about the safety of these vaccines. For instance, they misinterpreted data to claim specific vaccine lots were more dangerous, dubbing them “hot lots.” This claim was based on flawed logic, disregarding that larger lots naturally have more reports due to the higher number of doses administered.”

There have been no COVID vaccine hot lots.
Hot Lots of the Past
What about the idea that there have been “hot lots” of vaccines in the past?
“In 1967, an eminent bacteriologist wrote a book detailing many forgotten vaccine disasters under the belief (he shared with many of his anonymous colleagues) that unless his profession was honest about the dangers of vaccination, the mistakes which led to those disasters would keep on repeating.”
The Century of Forgotten Vaccine Hot Lot Disasters
These so-called hot lots of the past were in the distant past, before the modern age of vaccine development.
“In October 1919 the city of Dallas Texas began administering the diphtheria toxin (and its antitoxin) to non-immune children. Many different lots were used, and one of those ended up being hot (due to it having over 50 times the maximum permissible levels of free diphtheria toxin).”
The Century of Forgotten Vaccine Hot Lot Disasters
Do you know what else happened in 1919?

An awful lot of people died with diphtheria.
That’s why, even though vaccines weren’t yet made to today’s safety standards and they had more side effects, folks still lined up to get vaccinated and protected!
Fortunately, these tragedies, like the Cutter incident, helped to bring about changes that made our vaccines much safer today.
Vaccines that save millions of lives!
What to Know About the Forgotten Propaganda About Vaccine Hot Lots
These days, thanks to safer vaccines, instead of worrying about contaminated vaccines and vaccine hot lots, the main thing we have to be concerned about is anti-vaccine propaganda scaring folks away from getting vaccinated and protected.
