Why Did Chris Cuomo Change His Mind About Ivermectim?

Apparently, Chris Cuomo has changed his mind about ivermectin for COVID.

Have we finally jumped the shark on this thing - even Chris Cuomo is pushing ivermectin for COVID now in a last ditch effort to appear relevant.
Have we finally jumped the shark on this thing – even Chris Cuomo is pushing ivermectin for COVID now in a last ditch effort to appear relevant.

He is even taken a daily dose of ivermectin now!

Why Did Chris Cuomo Change His Mind About Ivermectim?

If you remember, before getting fired by CNN, Chris Cuomo would give regular updates when he was sick with COVID (well before we had any COVID vaccines). At the time, CNN had called ivermectin a horse dewormer after Joe Rogan said he took it.

And now he is taking it like a daily vitamin!

“I am taking … a regular dose of ivermectin. Ivermectin was a boogeyman during COVID. That was wrong. We were given bad information about ivermectin. The real question is, why? Everyone’s going to say ‘Joe Rogan was right.’ No, Joe Rogan was saying – yeah, he was right – that’s not what matters. What matters is, the entire medical community knew that Ivermectin couldn’t hurt you. They knew it … I know they knew it. How do I know? Because now I’m doing nothing but talking to these clinicians, who at the time were overwhelmed by COVID, and they weren’t saying anything! It’s cheap, it’s not owned by anybody, and it’s used as an anti-microbial, antiviral and has been for all these different ways, and has been for a long time. My doctor was using it during COVID on her family and on her patients, and it was working for them. So. They were wrong to play scared on that. Didn’t know that at the time. Know it now, admit it now, reporting on it now.”

So it is easy to see what changed Chris Cuomo’s mind, isn’t it?

Suffering with long-COVID, he found a “doctor” who pushes ivermectin, against all evidence to the contrary.

And now, after falling so far after getting fired by CNN, he seems to be jumping at any chance for extra attention from the media.

What should he be doing?

As someone who is suffering from long-COVID, he should be pushing folks to get vaccinated, as that is our best protection from getting long-COVID!

The Ivermectin for COVID Conspiracy

After all, it is a little late to be getting on the ivermectin for COVID bandwagon.

Ivermectin is still not authorized or approved to treat COVID-19.
Ivermectin is still not authorized or approved to treat COVID-19.

The ivermectin for COVID ploy is played.

The ivermectin for COVID conspiracy is so played out.
The ivermectin for COVID ploy is so played out! Folks should understand that many providers who continue pushing ivermectin are making a lot of money selling other supplements that they also recommend you take with ivermectin.

So played!

Multiple large trials have shown that it is not effective to treat either COVID or long-COVID.

Although it is not the most dangerous drug in the world, it can have serious side effects.

“Ivermectin pre-treatment demonstrates detrimental effects in cardiac ischemia through exacerbation of cardiac arrhythmia, myocardial dysfunction, and increased cardiac hypertrophy.”

The Detrimental Effect of Pre-Treatment with Ivermectin on Myocardial Ischemia

So looking at risks versus rewards (nothing), it would be silly to take ivermectin, unless you had an approved reason, like roundworm parasites, headlice, or rosacea.

“Even in a pandemic crisis, however, it is unethical and immoral to advocate for the broad use of a medication that has not been proven effective in clinical trials.”

Inappropriate use of ivermectin during the COVID-19 pandemic: primum non nocere!

And while it was unethical and immoral to push ivermectin when we weren’t sure it would work, it should be illegal to do so now that we know it doesn’t work and there are alternative treatments that do!
