People Are Not Catching a Mutated Strain of Measles

Why do some people think that measles outbreaks are being caused by a new, mutated strain of measles?

As usual, Polly Tommey and Brian Hooker provide no evidence that outbreaks are being caused by a mutated strain.

The usual suspects…

People Are Not Catching a Mutated Strain of Measles

And to tell you the truth, Brian Hooker saying that the measles people are catching is a mutated strain does ruffle my feathers a little bit.

Not because I think he is right, mind you.

My feathers are a bit ruffled because it seems like anti-vaccine influencers have stopped trying!

“Even though the measles virus churns out a wide variety of new mutants as it multiplies, it seems to be nearly impossible for measles to evolve in a way that lets it both evade the immune defenses that vaccination provides and maintain its ability to replicate and spread.”

Measles, mutation, and the steadfast MMR vaccine

I mean, we actually know that the measles virus is not mutating in any way that can allow it to become resistant to the MMR vaccine!

Also, if vaccines didn’t actually prevent this so-called new measles strain that had mutated, then why is it only those who are unvaccinated that are mostly getting sick.

Make that make sense!

Oh, and where is Brian Hooker’s evidence of a mutated strain of measles?

He doesn’t provide any…

Just like neither Andy Wakefield nor RFK, Jr didn’t provided any evidence back in 2019, when he brought up the idea of mutated measles strains causing global measles outbreaks.

Instead, as we see another record year of measles cases, Polly Tommey and Brian Hooker, push misinformation and propaganda to scare you away from getting vaccinated and protected.

Brian Hooker – So, you know, it’s easy for somebody to come down with vaccine measles two weeks after they get the vaccine. But this is not that, Polly. What this is, is a mutated strain of measles that the vaccine does not protect for.

Polly Tommey – Okay, so again, let’s summarize your young mother and you’re petrified because you’re reading the press and you’re thinking, I’m going to have to go and get the MMR. So first of all, your child could die or could be brain injured. Um, it also could catch measles from the measles shot.

Brian Hooker – Right. Right.

Polly Tommey – Good. Um, also, we know many people that took loads of MMR vaccines and got measles, so that doesn’t work. Um, so there is no benefit whatsoever to taking the MMR shot. And also on top of that, and I know this is going to freak some people out. There are some doctors and scientists who believe that catching measles is actually good for your immune system.

Brian Hooker – …So the you know, the inconvenience of having a week long, two week long infection where you need to isolate is not worth risking the vaccine.

Polly Tommey – On the MMR. I mean, at the end of the day, the MMR is from I’m from my personal point of view, it’s a death sentence.

And they leave out the fact that their extreme “personal point of view” is motivated by the belief that their own children are vaccine injured!

A Masterclass in Anti-Vaccine Propaganda

There’s more.

In one short video, Polly Tommey and Brian Hooker put on a master class in anti-vaccine propaganda about measles and the MMR vaccine!

If you are a scared parent looking for information about vaccines, know that everything that Polly Tommey and Brian Hooker said was wrong. Remember, studies have shown that “there is a near-zero probability for the natural emergence of a new measles virus capable of evading vaccine-induced immunity.”

Note how, without offering any evidence, they try to scare you into thinking that:

Of course, none of that is true.

Vaccines, especially the MMR vaccine, are safe, work well with few risks, and are very necessary.

You should also know that:

What else?

Tragically, having measles is sometimes a death sentence, either from the complications of an acute infection or later, from SSPE.

Get vaccinated and protected.

Stop the outbreaks.
