Who is Leigh Allyn Baker?

Most folks have gotten used to the idea that there is someone, somewhere that will blame just about any symptom and condition on vaccines, from autism and eczema to seizures and peanut allergies.

Even dyspraxia?

Do Vaccines Cause Dyspraxia?

First things first… have you ever heard of dyspraxia?

Dyslexia???

No, dyspraxia!

Dyspraxia is a disorder of movement coordination, which can also affect language, speech, and learning.

Children and adults with dyspraxia may have delayed early motor development, especially with motor skills, and can go on to:

  • have poor balance
  • be clumsy, falling often or bumping into people and things
  • have trouble pedaling a tricycle or bicycle
  • be messy eaters because they have trouble using spoons and forks, etc.
  • have bad handwriting because they have difficultly gripping their pen or pencil
  • avoid playing with toys like Lego blocks and jigsaw puzzles
  • be delayed in learning to button clothes or tie their shoes, etc.

Dyspraxia isn’t just about these motor issues though. Either because dyspraxia can also be associated with ADHD or a learning disorder or just because the signs and symptoms occur as a part of dyspraxia, these children might have many other signs and symptoms.

While you may have never heard of dyspraxia before, you should know that it is fairly common and it is definitely not new.

“Developmental Dyspraxia has been recognized by doctors and therapists since very early this century, when Collier first described it as ‘congenital maladroitness’. In 1937 Dr Samuel Orton declared it to be ‘one of the six most common developmental disorders, showing distinctive impairment of praxis’.”

And there is no reason to suspect that it is caused by vaccines.

“Although the exact causes of dyspraxia are unknown, it is thought to be caused by a disruption in the way messages from the brain are transmitted to the body. This affects a person’s ability to perform movements in a smooth, coordinated way.”

Dyspraxia FAQs

It is also not caused by brain damage.

“For the majority of those with the condition, there is no known cause. Current research suggests that it is due to an immaturity of neuron development in the brain rather than to brain damage. People with dyspraxia have no clinical neurological abnormality to explain their condition.”

Dyspraxia at a glance… What is Dyspraxia?

More common in infants who are born premature, it is thought to be caused by immaturity in neuron development.

Talk to your pediatrician if you suspect that your child has dyspraxia, as early intervention with occupational therapy and speech therapy can be helpful.

So why do some folks think that vaccines can cause dyspraxia?

Leigh-Allyn Baker left California because she lost her children's medical exemption and didn't want them vaccinated to attend school.

The usual suspects…

Leigh-Allyn Baker said that "I'm not willing to murder my children for the greater good. I'm just not going to do it. I'm not going to do that."

In addition to previous posts that one of her children has dyspraxia, Baker recently appeared with Del Bigtree, saying that “my children do not have autism, my children have very, very specific physical symptoms after every inoculation culminating in some very serious neurological trauma and seizures.”

In other interviews, Baker has said that “my first one kept getting very sick, and I would spread them out still, and he would get very, very ill to the point where he was having cytokine storms and things that you hear Fauci talk about.”

In addition to a child with dyspraxia, Baker has a child who has celiac disease and had a seizure after his vaccines, although she never mentions if it was a febrile seizure, which is not uncommon.

So why does Leigh-Allyn Baker believe that vaccines injured her children?

“My truth isn’t that my son had a seizure. Okay. That’s the truth. That happened. The other child hospitalized for multiple things that are so personally in depth in his body I can’t even share publicly and feel good about it. That’s the truth. I have the records.”

After all, she went all the way from raising awareness about dyspraxia with the Dyspraxia Foundation and being featured in People magazine to interviews with Charlene Bollinger (pushes natural alternatives to chemotherapy for people with cancer) and Del Bigtree equating vaccinating and protecting a child with murder.

“One of the biggest changes Baker has made for his immune system and body is Chiropractic care along with an all organic, gluten free, dairy free, and dye free diet. He also sees a homeopath and naturopath.”

I wonder if her chiropractor, homeopath, or naturopath had anything to do with it…

The bottom line though, we shouldn’t continue to let celebrities scare parents away from vaccinating and protecting their kids.
